Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how LogLift ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the LogLift workout tracking mobile application. We are committed to respecting your privacy and ensuring transparency regarding how your data is handled.
1. Information We Collect
- Local Device Data: All of your data in LogLift — logged workouts (exercise names, categories, sets, reps, weight), custom exercises, body weight entries, weight units (kg/lb), and appearance settings — is stored locally on your device. LogLift does not have user accounts and does not sync your data anywhere; nothing in this category is ever transmitted off your device.
- Subscription & Purchase Data: If you subscribe to or purchase Metrics access, your payment is processed entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management platform, to verify your purchase and determine whether Metrics should be unlocked. This involves RevenueCat receiving a randomly generated anonymous identifier (not tied to your name, email, or any personal account) and purchase/transaction data from the app store. We never receive or store your payment card, bank details, or app store credentials.
- Exported/Imported Files: LogLift allows you to manually export and import workout backup files. These files are generated and managed through your device's native file system. We do not receive, store, or track copies of these exported files.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
LogLift is designed with data minimization in mind. We do NOT collect:
- Your name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information — LogLift has no user accounts.
- Advertising identifiers, tracking cookies, or third-party behavioral telemetry.
- Precise or coarse GPS location data.
- Contacts, media files, or photos stored on your device.
- Health metrics from external health platforms (e.g., Apple Health, Google Health Connect) unless explicitly added in future updates with prior permission.
We do not sell your personal information or user data to third parties, advertisers, or data brokers, nor do we use your data to train artificial intelligence models.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect strictly to operate, maintain, and provide the App's core services, including:
- Operating and maintaining the App's core local workout-logging features.
- Verifying and managing your subscription or one-time purchase so we can grant access to premium features (Metrics).
- Responding to support inquiries or customer service requests sent to us.
4. Third-Party Service Providers and Data Sharing
We do not share your personal data with third parties except as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law:
- Subscription Management: We use RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management platform, to verify in-app purchases and manage entitlement to premium features. RevenueCat receives purchase/transaction data and a randomly generated anonymous identifier from Apple/Google to determine whether Metrics should be unlocked on your device.
- App Store Platforms: Financial transactions and payment processing for paid features (Metrics) are handled exclusively by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your credit card details or bank information.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information if required to do so by applicable Australian law, court orders, or governmental regulations.
5. Data Retention and Account Deletion
- Local Data: You can clear all locally stored data at any time via the "Reset All Data" option in the Profile screen or by uninstalling the App from your device. Because LogLift has no accounts or cloud storage, this is the only copy of your data — once cleared or uninstalled, it cannot be recovered by us.
- Purchase & Subscription Data: Purchase and subscription records are retained by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat according to their own retention policies, not by us. To cancel a subscription, manage it directly through your device's App Store or Google Play account settings. If you reinstall the App or switch devices, use the "Restore purchases" option to re-link a previous purchase. Questions about a purchase can also be sent to logliftapp@gmail.com.
6. Privacy Rights and Australian Consumer Law Compliance
We comply with applicable privacy regulations, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, request corrections, or request complete account deletion by contacting us.
7. Children's Privacy
LogLift is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.
8. Data Security
Most of your data never leaves your device, so most of the risk that would come with transmitting or storing it remotely simply doesn't apply. For the limited data that is transmitted — purchase verification through RevenueCat and the app stores — we rely on their industry-standard security measures, including encrypted HTTPS/TLS protocols. However, no electronic transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect app updates, cloud infrastructure changes, or legal requirements. Material modifications will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date above and providing in-app notifications where appropriate.
